Compliance Assurance

Through participation in – and partnerships with – these and other key associations, GSA is able to keep abreast of any changes in the laws and regulations that affect their clients’ business:

  • Professional Services Council (PSC)
  • Professional Insurance Agents Association
  • International Foundation of Employee Benefits
  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
  • Goodwill Industries of North America
  • NISH

Assuring compliance for their clients is critical to GSA. A key aspect of this is staying on top of any and all changes in SCA and DBA regulations, insurance law, and employee benefit trends. To do this, GSA …

  • Subscribes to an extensive array of trade publications
  • Is committed to the continuing education of the entire GSA staff
  • Maintains licenses in all 50 states
  • Provides clients with regular compliance law updates through e-mails, bulletins, etc.

GSA strives to ensure that each client remains fully compliant with all SCA, DBA and DOL guidelines. To do this, GSA employs this compliance checklist as a benchmark:

  • Timely payment of wages and fringe benefits
  • Payments made to an independent trustee
  • Bona fide plans
  • Average Cost: All hours worked
  • Per employee: All hours paid
    100% vesting
SCA vs. FMLA –“successor in interest,” maintenance of employer paid benefits
